Congratulations! Fred!

Fred is one of my best friends in our department. His parents are from Taiwan, but he was actually grown up in Brazil so Portuguese is his first language. It is kind of interesting that he can let so many different language spinning in his mind.

Anyways, he took the screening this summer, and today the result was announced. Everyone passed! We are so happy for him! Way to go!

Janice visited us today. It's been a long time since her birthday party. However, she doesn't change at all, and she is still so funny and so enthusiastic.

這個畢業的季節

　　每年五月中到六月初是美國畢業的季節；在加州，恰好也是藍花楹開花的季節，看不見葉子的紫樹一棵棵，真是好看。




看著Fred他們在準備Screening，轉眼間我畢業也一年了，考過Screening Exam也一年了，不禁又有種一事無成的感覺。博士班唸是唸了，不過Qualifying Exam還懸在那邊；研究嘛也是每個月趕著要給老闆的進度，就像是我桌上那堆不斷長高的Paper......

　　嗯，寫完Proposal後我想放個長假。
